FixMeStick is a cool self-propelled hardware-based virus removal gadget that runs directly from a USB stick, created by a Montreal based company of the same name. There’s no software to install. All you have to do is insert it in the USB port of your PC, launch the FixMeStick software and you’re off to the races. It’s that simple.
Your machine will reboot and Lubuntu, a lightweight version of Ubuntu as its operating system will then execute anti-virus engines from Kaspersky Labs, Sophos, and GFI VIPRE. It runs before Windows boots, so the nasties can be attacked while they are sleeping. Read more about FixMeStick in our previous post.
FixMeStick was also recently featured on Dragons’ Den and walked away with an awesome deal – check out our coverage on that.
Speaking of deals, here’s your chance to get FixMeStick for FREE! The giveaway is for the PC version. The Mac version is not here yet, in fact, the company is currently running a Kickstarter project to fund the development.
